Kevin P. Ryan, Founder and CEO of AlleyCorp & Serial Entrepreneur

Kevin P. Ryan, founder and CEO of AlleyCorp, is a serial entrepreneur. One of the leading internet entrepreneurs in New York, he founded several Gilt Groupe, Business Insider, MongoDB, Zola, Nomad Health, and several other companies.

Combined, these companies have raised more than $700 million in venture capital funding and currently employ more than 2,500 people. Kevin helped build DoubleClick from 1996 to 2005, first as President and later as CEO, leading their growth from a 20-person startup to a publicly-traded global leader with over 1,500 employees. In 2013, Kevin was named one of “The 100 Most Influential New Yorkers of the Past 25 Years” by the Observer.

Kevin helped build DoubleClick and served as its president, then CEO from 1996 to 2005. After Hellman and Friedman LLC acquired DoubleClick in 2005, Ryan stepped down as CEO to hold a more advisory role. Partnering with former DoubleClick CTO and co-founder, Dwight Merriman, Ryan co-founded AlleyCorp, a network of three affiliated Internet companies. Ryan was named one of the "50 Most Influential Business People" by Crain's New York Business, and was included in Vanity Fair's 2011 New Establishment List.

Currently, Kevin serves on the boards of Mercy Corps, is Vice Chairman of The Partnership for New York City, is a member of the CFR Committee on Foreign Affairs, is on the Board of TECH: NYC and is Director Emeritus for Human Rights Watch. He previously served on the boards of the Yale Corporation, INSEAD, the Direct Marketing Association, The Ad Council, HotJobs, and the advisory board of Doctors Without Borders. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from INSEAD
